Partial Solution to Airtel, Reliance and other Indian ISPs blocking access to certain websites

Update: Click here to see the latest post regarding this.

Although its shocking that something like this is happening in India but few hours of tinkering has revealed that the block of access to certain websites was poorly implemented by the ISPs.

To see the list of blocked websites check out my last post, here.

Simply change http to https in front of the web address. HTTPS is the secure version of Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. Anyway here’s how it goes:

Block - work around 01

Just replace http by https and press go.

Block - work around 02

This work around doesn’t work for all the blocked websites but is the easiest.

When I look at your blog in Ie, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some
overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, awesome blog!
